- Membership is open to anyone with horses used for breeding purposes.
- Owners may only register up to six broodmares in the RBHA shows unless the owner is a Riata registered breeder and owns a breeding barn.
- The RBHA will only accept entries/grading applications from breeding horses over the age of three.
- All horses to be registered must be at least three years old, and must already have been bred (at least one foal on the ground).
- Broodmares may not be actively competing in under-saddle events (eg. show jumping/dressage etc). They must have been fully retired to breed only.
- If a member moves up a "rank", please notify the RBHA with a check for the appropriate amount included.
Show Rules
- All Riata rules apply.- Horses must be registered in the Equine Database.
- Owners must be registered to enter horses in any RBHA shows.
- Owners may enter as many horses as they wish in each class.
- Players who do not own breeding barns may only enter a maximum of 6 broodmares.
- Stallions must have at least one foal currently on the ground to be eligible for entry.
- Mares must be used solely for breeding purposes only - they may not be actively competing in any undersaddle classes.
- Owners may enter horses in as many divisions as they wish (as all classes are halter), but may only enter each horse in one class in each division, with the exception of the Uniform Producer Classes.
- Uniform Producer Classes are not a halter class - portfolios are submitted, therefore owners are not restricted to the number of portfolios per horse they may submit. Owners may include offspring not owned by them.
- Please send a check with all entries or entry forms will be returned.
- Incorrect entries will be returned to be corrected. If not successfully corrected a second time, entries will be deleted.
