Studbook Inspection Information
The Studbook Inspection is the beginning of a horse's road to recognition in the RBHA. Owners must be registered with the RBHA in order for horses to be eligible for inspection, and breeding horses will be inspected according to the criteria given below. They will be rated into classes according to their total point scores. Depending on their scores, studbook approved horses may be eligible for the more pretigeous A Grade and Elite status titles, which gives them more value as a breeding horse and adds a star behind their name in the Star Program, as well as entitling them to other priviledges offered by the RBHA in the future.

A maximum of 6 horses may be applied per owner per inspection period.
Horses may be sent in for re-inspection, but their most recent grade will take precedence over previous scores.

Breeding horses are evaluated on a scale from 1-10, and are judged on the following:
    - Type
    - Head, neck, and body
    - Walking In-Hand
    - Trotting In-Hand
    - Behavior & Temperament

Breeding horses will be rated into the following studbook classifications according to their total point scores:
    - Class I : 41 - 50 points
    - Class II : 31 - 40 points
    - Class III : 20 - 30 points
    - Class IV : 19 points and below
