100 Day Performance Test
Like many of today's modern breed societies, the RBHA is proud to introduce it's own version of the 100 Day Performance Test for 2009 and onwards. To be held annually, this test is a true examination of a horse's skill, prowess, ability, and quality, as s/he is assessed not only for their own personal qualities, but for their competing ability over a 100 day period (approximately 3 1/2 months). A gruelling three days of thorough examination from a judge panel, followed by three months of intensive showing that is later reviewed by the judges panel - this is no easy feat for the owner, as records must be kept and submitted by the due date.

Nevertheless, horsess who pass the 100 Day Performance Test are considered a "class" of their own, and their value of a breeding horse will be highly increased. Horses who pass the test are eligible to apply for the Elite status title, and adds another star behind said horse's name in the Star Program.

Eligibility
The 100 Day Test is open to:
- Breeding stallions with at least one foal on the ground and who are currently competing actively.
- Performance mares who will be retired to brood within the next 12 months.
If a mare passes the 100 Day performance test but is not completely retired to brood within 12 months of the end date, her result will be considered invalid, and she will not receive a Star from it.

Schedule
On Day 1, horses are presented in-hand and inspected by the panel. They are graded against each other for the following categories:

- Character
- Temperament
- Ability to Work
- Willingness to Work
- General Jumping Aptitude
- Basic gaits: Walk
- Basic gaits: Trot
- Basic gaits: Canter
- Rideability

On Days 2 and 3, horses are ridden undersaddle and inspected by the panel. They are graded against each other for the following categories:

- Jumping under saddle
- Free jumping
- Rideability
- Basic Gaits: Walk
- Basic Gaits: Trot
- Basic Gaits: Canter
- Cross country(4000m): Canter
- Cross country(4000m): Jumping

Only the top 50% of horses will commence to the performance sector, where the performance record of each stallion must be kept up-to-date by the owner for the next 98 days. At the end of the test, owners are given one week to compile results and email them to the RBHA for the final judging. If the show record is not returned by a given time, said stallion will be removed from the 100 Day Test, and all previously achieved points will not be counted towards any future tests.

NB: Only results that have been published and are listed on the given show record will be used in the final judging, regardless of when the show was held. For example, if said stallion was entered into a show within the 98 day period, but results were not published until the day after said stallion's show record was sent in to the RBHA, those results would be considered invalid.

The top x% (to be decided) of horsess will pass the 100 Day Test. They will be certified and recognised by the RBHA for both their breeding and performance ability.
